To ensure that the mattress can support the weight of a laying person, each joint in the leg would have the ability to sense weight differences in real-time and communicate with the microprocessor to adjust the disk brake accordingly. And to make sure that the user doesn't feel the legs directly on their skin, a thin 2 mm layer of textile would be placed on top of the mattress.
To create a full-sized mattress, we would interconnect 1 cm legs to create a 1 cubic cm box with 8 moveable joints. By adding 8 legs to any of the six faces of the box, we can create a 2 cubic cm surface. We can then interconnect these surfaces to create a solid structure of any desired shape and size. By giving different instructions to each leg, we can create pyramidal shapes wherever necessary to support heavy weight.
